I made this book from a piece of 12X12 heavy chipboard cut in half. I used some die cuts and stencils and homemade texture paste. I also used some modge podge, gesso, inks, sprays and perfect pearls for the shimmer. I plan to give it to my step mom and ask her if she will write some memories of herself and my dad.

Smash Books
Found a video on youtube on making these books. They are a recycle type project. I used old packaging to make the covers and die cuts for the front. Then I used up a bunch of old papers for the pages. The lady who did the tutorial used a cereal box. I tried one of those but can't get the cover to stay straight. She didn't decorate the front so maybe that is why. I used some stencils and home made texture paste. I used some modge podge, gesso and mists.

Journal covers
This journal isn't finished. These will be the front and back covers. I was inspired by Gabrielle Pollocco. She posted a video a few weeks ago on her blog Such A Pretty Mess. I used a piece of packaging for the chipboard base. Then I used a bunch of different stencils with texture paste. Then I glued on various die cuts and the letters. Then I misted and inked. Then glued on the wooden clock. I used crafters workshop and dylusions stencils. Used Cheery Lynn, Memory Box and sizzix and cottage cuts and cuttlebug dies. Used tattered angels and perfect pearls mists. Used perfect pearls powder. Used a few prima crystals. This was a lot of fun to do. Now I have to ask a friend to zutter it all together for me. I also saw a video on sewing the pages into journals. She made hers out of a cereal box. If I make a few of these maybe I can justify splurging for a zutter for myself....
Sparks
Our beautiful granddaughter Tatym. She loves Sparks. We were invited one evening to watch her as she was awarded her badge. Used up a bunch of old stash items on this page. Also used Memory Box and Cheery Lynn and Sizzix and Tim Holtz dies. Did some machine stitching. Martha Stewart punches. The Tinker Bell is a stamp from Clearstamps. I embossed it to make the ink stand out a bit more.
